Introduction
Jaden Rayne Boreanaz is an American actor and the son of television star David Boreanaz and actress and model Jaime Bergman. Born in Los Angeles in 2002, Jaden grew up in a family closely connected to Hollywood, but he has generally maintained a lower public profile than his famous father. In 2026, however, his name received renewed attention after David Boreanaz revealed that Jaden would appear alongside him in NBC’s upcoming The Rockford Files reboot.
Jaden’s story is particularly interesting because his connection to acting is not simply a family association. He already had an acting credit connected to Bones, the long-running television drama in which his father starred, and he is now moving into a more visible professional role. The new Rockford Files project gives him an opportunity to work directly with his father while beginning to establish his own presence in television.
Who Is Jaden Rayne Boreanaz?
Jaden Rayne Boreanaz was born on May 1, 2002, in Los Angeles, California. His birth name is listed as Jaden Rayne Boreanaz. He is the first child of David Boreanaz and Jaime Bergman and the older brother of Bella Boreanaz.
Because both of his parents have worked in entertainment, Jaden grew up in an environment familiar with television, film, modeling, and public appearances. His father became particularly well known through major television roles, while his mother has worked as a model and actress.
Despite this background, Jaden has not spent his entire life in the spotlight. Compared with many children of Hollywood celebrities, relatively little verified information is publicly available about his private life, education, relationships, or everyday activities.
This privacy has made his recent professional appearances more noticeable. As he begins taking on more acting work, audiences are learning more about him primarily through his career rather than through a highly public personal life.
Jaden’s Parents and Family Background
Jaden’s father, David Boreanaz, is an established American actor, director, and producer. He became internationally recognized for playing Angel in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spin-off Angel. He later starred as FBI agent Seeley Booth in Bones and Master Chief Petty Officer Jason Hayes in SEAL Team.
David married Jaime Bergman in November 2001, several months before Jaden was born. Jaime has worked in modeling and acting and appeared in various entertainment projects.
Jaden is the couple’s first child. His younger sister, Bella Vita Bardot Boreanaz, was born in August 2009. Publicly available family information identifies Bella as Jaden’s younger sibling.
The family therefore has strong connections to the entertainment industry, but Jaden and his sister have generally received less media attention than their father.
Jaden’s Childhood in a Hollywood Family
Growing up as the child of David Boreanaz meant that Jaden was exposed to the television industry from a young age. His father’s career included some of the most recognizable television dramas of the late 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s.
David’s career also involved directing and producing, meaning Jaden grew up around different aspects of television production rather than simply seeing his father as an actor.
However, being raised in Hollywood does not necessarily mean that Jaden immediately pursued acting. For much of his childhood and teenage years, there was limited public information about his professional ambitions.
His later connection with Bones provided an early indication that acting could become part of his future. IMDb identifies Jaden as an actor and lists Bones among the projects associated with his career.
His career has therefore developed gradually rather than through a long series of highly publicized roles.
Jaden’s Connection to Bones
One of the earliest recognizable acting connections in Jaden’s public biography is Bones. The series starred his father as Seeley Booth and ran for 12 seasons, becoming one of David Boreanaz’s best-known television projects.
Jaden’s association with Bones is significant because it placed him within the same television world as his father. IMDb currently lists him as an actor known for Bones, as well as other projects including Elmwood Park and State College.
The available public information about his earlier acting work is limited, however. His current professional profile is much more strongly connected with his upcoming role in The Rockford Files.
That distinction is important because recent coverage has described the new project as a major acting opportunity for Jaden, while also acknowledging that he had previous experience before joining the new series.
Jaden’s Role in The Rockford Files
The most important recent development in Jaden Boreanaz’s career is his appearance in NBC’s new version of The Rockford Files. His father plays the lead character, Jim Rockford, in the modern adaptation of the classic detective series.
NBC announced the new series as part of its 2026–27 programming lineup. David Boreanaz is leading the reboot, which updates the original concept for a modern television audience.
Jaden is scheduled to appear in the series premiere opposite his father. Current cast information lists Jaden Boreanaz among the performers for the 2027 series.
The father-son collaboration has attracted particular attention because of the physical nature of Jaden’s scene. In June 2026, David spoke about filming with his son and explained that Jaden was involved in a scene in which he physically confronted his father’s character.
David said Jaden worked intensely during the scene and joked about being struck with a stick during filming. He also praised his son’s ability to stay focused and complete the job.
The project consequently represents both a professional opportunity for Jaden and an unusual family collaboration.
David Boreanaz Talks About Working With His Son
David Boreanaz discussed Jaden’s participation in The Rockford Files while attending the Monte-Carlo Television Festival in June 2026. The event gave journalists an opportunity to ask him about the new series and his son’s involvement.
According to David’s comments reported by TV Insider, Jaden embraced the demands of the scene and approached the work seriously. David described him as someone who stayed committed to getting the scene completed.
PEOPLE similarly reported that Jaden appears in the pilot episode and participates in a physical scene with his father. The report noted that it remains unclear whether Jaden will appear in additional episodes beyond the premiere.
The father-son experience is noteworthy because David has spent decades working in television. His career includes Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Bones, and SEAL Team, giving him extensive experience that his son can now encounter directly on a professional set.
For Jaden, working beside his father also creates an opportunity to learn from an actor who has spent much of his adult life working in television.
What Is The Rockford Files?
The original The Rockford Files was a television detective series that ran from 1974 to 1980 and starred James Garner as private investigator Jim Rockford. The character became closely associated with Garner’s performance.
NBC’s new version is a modern reimagining rather than a simple reproduction of the original series. David Boreanaz takes over the role of Jim Rockford for the new adaptation. The series is expected to premiere in January 2027.
The modern story introduces the character to a new television audience while retaining the central idea of a private investigator. The reboot has also attracted attention because previous attempts to revive the franchise did not progress to a full series.
David has said that he wants to approach the role in his own way while respecting the legacy associated with James Garner. Garner’s daughter, Gigi Garner, has publicly expressed support for the new version and for Boreanaz taking on the role.
Jaden’s participation adds another layer to the project because viewers will see a father and son working together in the same production.
Jaden’s Public Appearances
Although Jaden has largely remained private, he has occasionally appeared publicly alongside his father.
In 2026, David and Jaden attended the Monte-Carlo Television Festival together. Their appearance received attention because it occurred while David was promoting The Rockford Files and discussing Jaden’s role in the series.
Jaden has also been photographed with his father at entertainment-related events. These appearances provide limited but useful information about his transition into a more visible professional role.
Unlike his father, Jaden does not have decades of interviews and public appearances available for fans to follow. As a result, much of the recent interest in him is directly connected to his acting career.
His public presence may increase if he continues working in television or film, but his future career direction remains largely private.
Jaden and His Younger Sister Bella
Jaden is the older brother of Bella Boreanaz, who was born in 2009. The siblings grew up as the children of David Boreanaz and Jaime Bergman.
Public information about Bella is limited, and the Boreanaz family has generally kept their children’s private lives away from extensive media coverage.
Jaden’s current career development has therefore brought more attention to the family. His role in The Rockford Files means that audiences are now beginning to see him as an actor rather than simply as David Boreanaz’s son.
The family connection remains important, but Jaden’s professional work will ultimately determine how his public career develops.
Jaden’s Private Life and Education
There is relatively little reliable public information about Jaden’s education, relationships, hobbies, or personal life. While numerous websites and social-media accounts may publish information under similar names, those details should not automatically be treated as verified information about David Boreanaz’s son.
His verified biography confirms his birth details, parents, sibling relationship, and acting background, but it does not provide an extensive account of his private life.
This limited information appears consistent with the relatively private way the Boreanaz family has handled the children’s lives.
As Jaden becomes more professionally active, additional information about his acting career may become available through official cast announcements, interviews, and entertainment coverage. Until then, his confirmed professional credits provide the clearest picture of his career.
Jaden Rayne Boreanaz’s Career Outlook
Jaden’s upcoming appearance in The Rockford Files marks an important stage in his acting career. The role places him in a major network television project and gives him the opportunity to work directly with his father.
At the same time, it is too early to determine the long-term direction of his career. Current reporting confirms his appearance in the series premiere, but there is limited information about whether he will become a regular cast member or take on other major projects afterward.
His earlier association with Bones and his current Rockford Files role show that acting is already part of his professional history. Whether he continues primarily in television, moves into film, works behind the camera, or chooses another professional path remains a matter for future developments.
For now, the upcoming series provides his most significant documented opportunity.
Conclusion
Jaden Rayne Boreanaz is the eldest child of actor David Boreanaz and actress and model Jaime Bergman. Born in Los Angeles on May 1, 2002, he grew up in a family with deep connections to the entertainment industry while maintaining a relatively private personal life.
His acting career has included an early connection with Bones, the series that made his father one of television’s most recognizable stars. Jaden is now entering a more visible phase of his career through his role in NBC’s upcoming The Rockford Files reboot.
The new series is particularly significant because Jaden will appear opposite his father. David Boreanaz has discussed working with him and described his son’s commitment during a physically demanding scene filmed for the series premiere.
The project is scheduled for 2027 and represents an unusual father-son collaboration in a major television production. While Jaden’s long-term career plans remain private, his current acting work provides a clear indication that he is beginning to establish a professional identity of his own.
For now, Jaden Boreanaz remains a relatively private member of a well-known Hollywood family, but his growing involvement in television is likely to make his name increasingly familiar to audiences. His upcoming appearance in The Rockford Files is the latest chapter in a story that is only beginning to develop.
